In 2025, MeatOut, once again, inspired activists to take action across the country through government “MeatOut Day” proclamations and events. In 2025, MeatOut was proclaimed in:

• Annapolis, Maryland
• Madison, Wisconsin
• Columbia, South Carolina
• Montgomery, Alabama
• Nashville, Tennessee
• Laurel, Maryland

In total, more than 19,700,000 residents were inspired to take meat off their plates for just one day. Numerous newspapers, online magazines, and TV stations broadcasted these proclamations. In all, more than 20,000,000 people were reached through these government proclamations and thousands more were reached during in-person events

FARM volunteers once again took leaflets and food samples to the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC, handing out hundreds of vegan treats and thousands of leaflets on plant-based diet and compassion for animals along with snack foods giveaways (Annie’s gummies, vegan granola bars, pretzel twists, and Larabars); we handed out more than 2,000 pieces of literature to a mixed audience of very receptive attendees.

The same day, FARM volunteers in Florida gave out hundreds of vegan Babybel cheeses, along with MeatOut flyers. The following weekend, FARM partnered with AAC to go back to the Cherry Blossom Festival for a DitchDairy demo and handed out over 400 vegan cheeses in under 15 minutes, along with thousands of leaflets.

Animal Place, in Grass Valley, CA, hosted their annual MeatOut event which includes sampling delicious vegan food and drinks from some of the most popular vegan eateries and companies, live performances and talks by leaders from a variety of incredible animal organizations, and hanging out with adorable, rescued farmed animals.
